The Losing Game: Writing Rejections 79-82/100
Good holidays, pals? I had a pretty good holiday. I've been in the same flannel onesie for three days, so you know. Holiness achieved. 2019 is nearly done, but the process of getting rejected knows nothing of the gods of time, so you better believe that this process continues into 2020, and the resetting of rejection numbers exists only for the sake of my feeble little mind. So when submittable posted something about #Rejection100, I said:

But I'm getting ahead of myself. 2019 still has the opportunity to kick me around a bit. For your voyeuristic pleasure:
[WRITING REJECTION 79/100] Erin, Thank you for your submission to BAD NUDES! We really appreciate the opportunity to read your submission. Unfortunately we won't be accepting this work for publication but we do hope you will consider us again in the future. All our best, Bad Nudes Team
[WRITING REJECTION 80/100] Dear Erin, Thank you for sending your poetry to The Rumpus. We understand how much hard work you put into these poems, so please know they were fairly considered and given the attention they deserved. While they aren't right for us, we wish you luck in finding a home for them and many successes with your writing. Sincerely, The Rumpus
[WRITING REJECTION 81/100] Dear Erin Kirsh, Thank you for your submission to Michigan Quarterly Review. We regret to say that your recent submission doesn't meet our needs at the moment. Thank you for thinking of us, and we wish you the best of luck on your writing. Thanks again. Sincerely, The Editors Michigan Quarterly Review
[WRITING REJECTION 82/100] Hi Erin – A fun one, but I’m passing. We get a ton of “What Your _____ Says About You” lists so competition is especially fierce. Thanks for the read! Best, McSweeney's Internet Tendency
Will there be more news before 2020? Stay tuned. Until next time, - E.B. Kirsh
