The Losing Game: Writing Rejections 17-22/100
Happy Valentine's Day you gorgeous nerds. I hope you're either feeling the love or finding likeminded people to commiserate about the commercialized nature of the holiday with. Whichever you prefer. Me, I'm being kept company by a thick stack of rejections. Is that my favourite kind of thick stack? No, but I can get down with it. At any rate, it certainly seems to be able to get down with me. But it doesn't get me down! Down diddy de down down. Okay. This has gotten away from me. It's rejection time!

Your writing did stand out to us, though We hope you are encouraged by this brief note and that you will submit to Slice again in the future. Best wishes, The Editors

[WRITING REJECTION 22/100] We have read your submission, and unfortunately we are not able to use it in The Threepenny Review. Please do not take this as a comment on the quality of your writing; we receive so many submissions that we are able to accept only a small fraction of them.
